As an outsider, as a non-American, I think I am coming round to view the Trump presidency as a good one.
Here's why.
He doesn't seem to have achieved a great deal. There's a lot of talk and a lot of bluster, but nothing's really actually happened. Added to that, the man is such a laughably, vulgar, crass, figure that he is providing considerable amusement for those of us outside the US. You get a very real feeling that global leaders just ignore the prat, not taking him seriously, and are just waiting until the adults are back. And then they'll get back to the discussions with the US.

I always suspected he would be all talk and no action despite the doom and gloom his opposition predicted. He'll go down as the president who achieved the littlest but was the most derided. Which is unfair for someone so politically unremarkable. But he's only got himself to blame.

So he's not achieved much (outside the US) and provides someone we can all laugh at.
I imagine for residents of the US he could be more of a pain and may have had more of an impact on their lives (whether they realise it or not). But for those of us outside he's great fun - useless and risible. I actually hope he does win a second term because he's impotent yet amusing. He's all yours, America!

Gee, thanks.

But what if he gets in another pissing contest with Kim? Don't forget:

I notice you forgot to mention the DEM success in the Senate. Can you remind us all of how well the DEMs did there?

The Democrats did way better than originally projected having to defend 24 out of 34 seats. Losing in bright red Indiana and North Dakota was relatively mild since retaining seats in Montana and West Virginia simply highlights the weakness of the GOP.

Let's see how the Republicans do in 2020 having to defend 22 out of 33.

That sucking sound is Trump pulling the GOP into a decade of political irrelevance while he relegates conservatism into an antiquated collection of scared of brown people elderly and evangelicals willing to sell their souls for someone to protect them from post-1970 social change.

Yeah. 'Cuz as we know, these things are always as straight-forward as depicted in the socialist NY Times rag.

Love the way the taser is waved around wildly and pointed in the face of the mother. Class act.
Bring on the right wing whatabouttery. (Which totally isn't racist).

Yep. Gotta stick "racist" in there. It's the standard fallback label if nothing else sticks. And thanks to overuse by the snowflakes and lefty media, it's losing its impact and value.

(Pssst - you forgot to use the other signals, "white privilege", "it's all Trump's fault", etc.)

But will American presidents go back to behaving with a bit of dignity or will they continue along the path of ignorance and complete disregard for accepted behaviour and what anyone else thinks that Trump has blazed for them?

People criticised Caesar as a tyrant but after he was gone people didn't turn back to the Republic, they just fought over who would get to be the next Caesar.
After Trump it could be the same, probably not right away, there will be an inevitable backlash and attempt to turn back the clock, but in the long term?

And even if trump does turn out to be just an aberration and things in the US go back to normal, will anyone ever regard the US or the Presidency with the same respect they did pre-Trump?
The US will survive and recover from Trump but will the US's respect and influence?
Trump is surviving by burning the reputation, goodwill and respect the US and previous governments have built up with the international community over the years, when he's gone how much is going to be left?

He's burning the US's soft power.

You should think more positively. Maybe you'll get lucky and there'll be another world war for you to win for us and you can gain back all the prestige Trump's lost.

Well done for taking the bait, you bottom feeders on Frothers must be starving!

That's some fine whatabouttery. We know that as a racist you get tired of being called a racist. That's your problem. Racists get thick skinned after being called out on their bullshit - Guess its a bit like Jordan Peterson constantly telling you to tidy your room, it just goes in one ear and out the other.

And you haven't answered the question regarding handling an infant. Because:

A: You are impotent with a bad case of soft cock.
B: The court order doesn't allow you within 500 feet of children.

Oh, and all the charges against the woman have been dropped while the police investigation rolls on. I hope she has a wonderful Christmas and the police get fucking crucified.

It’s telling that you are incapable of discussing the issue and instead resort to one of the pre-selected talking points.

Cohen gets 3 years in prison and no one wants to be Trump's Chief of Staff.
